Studio Neva’s First Holiday Season

Studio Neva’s first holiday season was truly something special. Opening a new studio space is always exciting, but seeing it come alive with families, both brand-new faces and families I’ve photographed for years, made it feel magical in a way I’ll never forget.

There’s something about the holidays that brings out everyone’s glow. I had 12 families scheduled and kids walked in wide-eyed, parents arrived in the sweetest coordinated outfits, and the energy felt warm from the moment each session began. I designed Studio Neva to feel editorial yet cozy, and watching families settle right into the space made every planning detail worth it.

This year, the holiday sets photographed beautifully. The big red velvet bow, the touches of sparkle, the gold vintage mirror, everything worked together in the perfect way. Every family brought their own kind of magic too. Some were playful and full of laughter, some calm and snuggly, some a mix of both. I love that every gallery feels different because every family is different.

One of my biggest goals for the season was quick turnaround. I know how important it is to get photos back in time for cards, gifts, and holiday posts, so I pushed myself to deliver galleries within days. It was a whirlwind, but it felt good to keep that promise and see parents instantly start using their photos.

From first-time families walking through the doors of Studio Neva to the families who have trusted me year after year, I’m so grateful for every single person who showed up this season. Your smiles, personalities, and little moments are what make this work so meaningful.
